What Jewelers Have to Say About Working with Cynthia:
A promotion offering a complimentary visit with "The Jewelry Counselor" Cynthia Sliwa was a highlight of the grand opening of my store in November 2002. What happened as a result of this promotion was phenomenal. The first and most noticeable outcome was the volume of jewelry sold during the grand opening. It far exceeded expectations and was "stoked" by Cynthia's suggestions to the clients. The sales staff knew the inventory so following a consultation with Cynthia a client/customer would request a particular style of jewelry that she had suggested. When presented with the suggested piece of jewelry the customer would try it on and more often than not immediately purchased the item. The second outcome was a development of trust by the clients of the store.
"Customers viewed the store as supplying more than just jewelry; it supplied a service in the form of jewelry that would enhance their appearance and improve their self confidence. Cynthia was there to assist the customer, not sell a particular piece of jewelry. Her professional manner, knowledge and sense of style satisfied even the most demanding client/customer. Overall, the synergy created by Cynthia's visit propelled sales and created a positive store impression. I highly recommend her services and can't wait to have another promotion with "The Jewelry Counselor."

A Bit of History
I have a passion for jewelry. Indeed, my persona as The Image Counselor actually began as The Jewelry Counselor™ in 2002, when I left the practice of corporate law and began studies at the Business School of the Gemological Institute of America, and started focusing on image consulting in conjunction with the creation of my fine jewelry line, Apprecia Fine Jewelry®, a line of fine jewelry "specifically designed to flatter the generous curves of the full-figured woman"™.
My studies in image consulting and passion for jewelry ultimately led to writing Jewelry Savvy: What Every Jewelry Wearer Should Know with Caroline Stanley, a third generation jeweler and jewelry marketing professional. Our book takes a fresh approach to jewelry, emphasizing the wearer's personal experience. The book creatively combines jewelry product knowledge with image consulting principles. Jewelry Savvy is a practical guide that educates and inspires readers to view their jewelry wardrobe from a new perspective.
